initial franchise fee is $30,000 with start up costs ranging from
$129,700 to $412,800.
All
franchisees must attend a 5 day training session which covers

much money can I make?
A. We knew you would be concerned! Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs has
gone through the process of Federal and State legal requirements.

Q. What
about advertising?
A. Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs has a 1% National Advertising Royalty
that is used to promote the Brand and Marks of Olde Tyme Drafts
& Dawgs. The Advertising benefits ALL franchisees. Each Franchisee
is required to Advertise their individual business using 3% of
their gross revenue on local media.
Q. Why
should I invest in a Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs restaurant instead
of my own restaurant?
A. In today's restaurant industry, a franchise has a better than
90% chance to be successful versus under 20% for a non-established
venture.
Q. Is
it necessary that a Franchisee be an owner/operator?
A. At least one principal or qualified designated manager must
be actively involved on a full time basis and be responsible for
daily operations.
Q. How
do I know if I qualify financially?
A. Upon receipt of your completed confidential franchise application
form, it will be reviewed by our franchise review committee. They
will advise you as how your financial capability fits within the
guidelines.
Q. What
is the term of an Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs franchise?
A. 10 years with an automatic additional 10 years however a renewal
fee is required. The agreement is renewed for additional 5-year
periods by mutual agreement with no renewal fees.
Q. What
happens when I decide I want to own a Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs?
A. Once you have been accepted and have signed the franchise agreement
and paid your franchise fee, our representative will assist you
in locating a suitable site, if needed. We will also assist in
lease negotiations. You will then be scheduled for training in
all aspect's of owning and operating a Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs.
Q. What
do I receive for my franchise fee?
A. You receive the knowledge, expertise, and training of over
60 years of combined franchise and restaurant experience. In addition,
you will receive complete training, grand opening formats, proprietary
operations and training manuals, pre-opening assistance, (lease
site, and construction assistance), a variety of plans and drawings
and long term corporate support. Remember, your success is our
success.
Q. Do
I need restaurant experience?
A. It's helpful, but not necessary. Our Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs
owner/operators come from every walk of life. The most important
quality you can have is desire. Desire to be your own boss. Desire
to create a business of your own. Desire to make your own hard
work pay off.
Q. How
much is the initial franchise fee for a Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs
franchise?
A. $30,000 for a single restaurant.
Q. What
is the total investment required?
A. A minimum of $129,700 will be needed to start with costs varying
to a maximum of $412,800. The total investment depends entirely
on your individual circumstances, such as whether you are able
to take advantage of an existing building versus building your
own; whether a lot will need to be paved; whether new or used
equipment will be used; contractors charges; local building codes.
We are more than willing to help you evaluate your situation to
help you to determine the approximate investment that will be
needed.
Q. Can
I franchise more than one location?
A. Yes, but the number will be determined in advance in a Area
Development Agreement. A separate franchise agreement will then
be signed as each individual site is completed and approved according
to the terms of the development agreement. We will also, in some
cases, consider a developer's agreement for specific geographical
area.
Q. What
does the franchise fee cover?
A. It secures the right to own and operate a Olde Tyme Drafts
& Dawgs, and the use of Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs trade name, trademarks,
recipes, distinctive decor, and manner of doing business. It also
includes the following:
1) Layout drawings and details of signs, fixtures, and equipment,
all of which create the unique Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs interior;
2) If requested, an evaluation of site selection will be rendered
to franchisee;
3) Training Program;
4) Grand Opening assistance;
5) Advertising support;
6) On-going field support;
7) Special Promotions;
Q. Where
do I get the equipment?
A. Olde Tyme Drafts & Dawgs has established relationships with
equipment manufacturers which enables us to save money for the
franchisee on equipment purchases. You may, of course, purchase
the equipment independently, as long as it meets Olde Tyme Drafts
& Dawgs specifications.
Q. May
I sell my franchise rights?
A. Yes, subject to the Olde Tyme Franchising, Inc.'s approval
of the purchaser.
Q. What
kind of person makes a good franchisee?
A. We are looking for the following qualifications: Adequately
financed and outgoing individuals who can deal effectively with
people. It helps if you are a, "Sales oriented and Business minded,"
person that possesses' enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed.
Q. How
much is the royalty fee?
A. Olde Tyme Franchising, Inc. requires a royalty-fee of five
percent (5%) of all monthly gross sales.
